This controversial and much- discussed movie tells the story of a six-year-old girl living with her father in a surreal and apocalyptic environment. As well as the Grand Jury award, this well-reviewed movie also won a cinematography prize. "Beasts of the Southern Wild" is the outstanding result of director Benh Zeitlin breaking new ground with the support of courageous distributors.
